On 11/5/2013 we launched our new Student Web Hosting accounts.  At NodeWest we believe that education is important.  We also know how tough it is to be a college student.  That is why we decided to offer an easy solution to providing web hosting to students for a fraction of the cost of our normal packages.  We give to you: Student Hosting.

Student Hosting is a way to provide college students with an inexpensive solution to web hosting.  We’ve been there before;  your teacher tells you that you have to host a website you are working on and you have no idea where to start or what company to go with.  Will the hosting provider oversell their servers and cause you performance issues?  Will you feel like you are getting what you deserve being a college student trying to learn about web hosting and/or web design?

Scott Greenwood, our COO, decided that it was very important to provide the same quality web hosting and packages to students for a portion of the price.  Students will receive all the high quality options that come with our standard hosting packages: High space and bandwidth limits, cloud DNS, email, script installers, daily backups, etc.

As with any discounted product you may be wondering: what’s the catch?  Well…there isn’t one!  The main difference between our standard hosting products and our student hosting products is that you, as a student, save money each month.  That is it!

Everyone with a .edu email address is eligible to purchase student hosting.  Are you an alumni still using your .edu email?  No Problem, as long as you have access to that email to receive account information and other important communications.  Each order will be verified that it is using a .edu email.  Once verification is complete you will receive your account information.
